the Internet, where one misstep or one comment, if you let down your guard and show emotion, will be around the world and back before you even finish your next thought, you have handled every moment with class." In addition to Ryan's awards, a number of other Wolverines captured special honors during the evening. Fifth-year senior offensive lineman Joey Burzynski earned the Dr. Arthur D. Robinson Scholarship Award, as the top senior scholar on the roster. Burzynski garnered a 3.7 grade- point average in an extremely chal- lenging biomedical engineering ma- jor. His effort wasn't the only point of pride academically, assistant coach Dan Ferrigno pointed out. "Over the last four years, we've had the highest academic performance rating in the history of the program," Ferrigno said. "We've had 69 seniors come through. All 69 have graduated. That's 100 percent, right? I went to San Francisco State, so I'm not sure." Redshirt junior center Jack Miller captured the Hugh H. Rader Jr. Me- morial Award as the team's top offen- sive lineman. "I'm especially proud of the win- ner for this year," offensive line coach Darrell Funk noted. "When you hear all the seniors talking about ups and downs, life as a college athlete, the good and the bad … I think this year's Rader Award symbolizes that. It's a young guy that has really overcome a lot of adversity in his life. "He's pushed through some ad- versity on the football field. He's a terrific student, and he's become a terrific leader in that room of a young group. He has a lot of reasons to not push forward and keep working at his craft, but he became dependable. He's a tough kid that kept working himself into a real dependable player Former Wolverine offensive lineman Jon Jansen was master of ceremonies for the Football Bust, and he lauded Team 135 for fighting through adversity with class.
