WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY The Wolverines ran to an 18th- place finish at the NCAA Champi- onships Nov. 22 in Terre Haute, Ind. … Senior co-captain Brook Handler paced U-M with an 89th-place show- ing in a 6,000-meter race that had more than 250 competitors. MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING (6-0 OVERALL, 3-0 BIG TEN) The No. 5 Wolverines finished sec- ond out of 37 teams at the AT&T Win- ter National Championships Dec. 3-6 in Greensboro, N.C. … The Wolver- ines compiled 247 points, while Lou- isville captured the event with 323 … Over the four days, the men collected one NCAA 'A' time and 39 NCAA 'B' times … Junior Dylan Bosch grabbed the NCAA 'A' cut time in the 200- yard butterfly (141.65) en route to winning the event. WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING (5-2 OVERALL, 4-0 BIG TEN) No. 12 Michigan finished second out of 44 teams at the AT&T Winter National Championships Dec. 3-6 in Greensboro, N.C. … The Wolverines racked up 407 points, while UCLA topped the field with 441 … U-M achieved three NCAA 'A' and 29 'B' times during the four-day meet, and also set five school records … The men and women scored more points than any other university with a combined total of 654, easily outdis- tancing the next closest squad (Lou- isville with 629). VOLLEYBALL (13-17 OVERALL, 8-12 BIG TEN) U-M lost three of its last four matches to finish its season, and ended up ninth in the Big Ten con- ference standings … Sophomore Abby Cole was a unanimous All-Big Ten selection and will return next year along with three players who had season-ending injuries in juniors Ally Davis and Kelly Murphy, and sophomore Gabbie Bulic … Senior Lexi Dannemiller is the only player not returning for next year. WRESTLING (2-1 OVERALL) No. 15 Michigan placed seventh at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational Dec. 5-6 … The field of 37 teams included 12 squads ranked among the top 25 nationally … Junior Rossi Bruno at 133 pounds and freshman Alex Pantaleo at 149 pounds finished second in their respective weight classes, while sophomore heavy- weight Adam Coon placed third and freshman Davonte Mahomes took sixth at 174 pounds … The Wolver- ines will compete in the Southern Scuffle Jan. 1-2 in Chattanooga, Tenn., before beginning their Big Ten schedule. The 25-team field includes 11 squads listed in the Dec. 9 Inter- mat team rankings. Rankings as of Dec. 10 ❏
