MICHIGAN FOOTBALL the coaches. He was named Big Ten Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year, after splitting time between tight end and wide receiver during the season. He made the move completely to wideout in his junior campaign, catching seven passes for 108 yards at Ohio State in the final game of his collegiate career. BRADY HOKE ONE OF THREE 2011 COACHES LET GO Among the 128 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches in 2014, 15 were hired over the course of the year prior to the 2011 football season, including Michigan's Brady Hoke. Among those 15, Hoke posted the fourth-best winning percentage from 2011-14. However, he is one of only three head coaches from that class that will not see a fifth year; Tulsa has released Bill Blankenship and Florida axed Will Muschamp. Hoke went 31-20 over his four sea- sons, posting a .608 winning percent- age that trails only Stanford's David Shaw (.774 percent), Louisiana-La- fayette's Mark Hudspeth (.686) and San Diego State's Rocky Long (.627). Hoke also qualified the Maize and Blue for three bowl games, second only to Shaw and Hudspeth (four each). However, with the exception of Rich Rodriguez's three disastrous years (a .405 winning percentage from 2008-10), Hoke won fewer games than all but just two of 12 Michigan head coaches with at least two seasons on the U-M sideline, bet- tering Tad Wieman (.593 from 1927- 28) and Bump Elliott (.547 from 1959- 68). He and Rodriguez are the first two coaches since Wieman to not win a conference title. ❏ 2011 Head Coaching Class School Coach W-L Win Pct.
