Mike Denbrock, now the associate head coach, still oversees the offense, while Kelly will likely continue in the role of play caller. "His focus is on our quarterbacks right now and learning the offense — and that's job one," Kelly said of San‑ ford. "The next job will be continue to grow and learn the offense so there's play calling opportunities there. Mike Denbrock right now is running the entire offense. Those are his calls and his decisions to make. Mike [Sanford] really is somebody capable of doing all of those things, but not at this time. "When we put a timetable on it, right now I'm more ready to be the play caller until all these guys are in a position where they can take more of a role offensively." PHYSICAL MENTALITY For various reasons, Denbrock said the blueprint on offense in the bowl victory against LSU was as good as it gets: zero turnovers, efficient passing (18 of 26) and — above all — a physi‑ cal, ground attack that controlled the line of scrimmage with 51 carries for 263 yards (5.2 yards per carry). An argument can be made that the game was an anomaly. With no game QUARTERBACK No. Player Ht. Wt. VanGorder 6-0¼ 215 So./4 Note: To no one's surprise, head coach Brian Kelly stated halfway through drills that a decision on the starter wouldn't occur until August, if not Sep- tember. RUNNING BACK No. Player Ht. Wt. Cl./Elig. 25 Tarean Folston 5-9½ 214 Jr./2 1 Greg Bryant 5-10 205 Jr./3 Walk-Ons: Josh Anderson (46), Austin Ross (28) and Bailey Ross (49). Note: The stakes and competition level were raised when slot receiver C.J. Prosise worked extensively at running back and became a standout, including finishing as the top rusher in the Blue-Gold Game. He will seriously vie for a lead role at running back. SLOT RECEIVER No. Player Ht. Wt. Cl./Elig. 20 C.J. Prosise 6-0½ 220 Sr./2 OR 3 Amir Carlisle 5-10 192 5th/1 16 Torii Hunter Jr. 6-0 190 Jr./3 WIDE RECEIVER No. Player Ht. Wt. Cl./Elig. 2 Chris Brown 6-1½ 195 Sr./1 88 Cory Robinson 6-4½ 215 Jr./2 Walk-ons: Cam Bryan (35), Austin Webster (83), Buster Sheridan (86) and Keenan Centlivre (87). Notes: Carlisle had the best spring among the re- ceivers, per Kelly, partly because Fuller was ham- pered some by a broken metacarpal bone in his hand while Robinson missed a couple of weeks because of a concussion. BGI 2015 Post-Spring Offensive Depth Chart The heights and weights were updated March 18, at the start of drills. The class year is what the player will be once the 2015 season begins next September, with years of eligibility remaining afterwards.
