7 Florida State University's national baseball ranking before it was swept by Notre Dame during a three‑game series at Frank Eck Stadium April 10‑12 by scores of 5‑2, 4‑1 and 2‑1. It was Notre Dame's first series win over a top‑10 team since taking two of three from the Seminoles in Tallahassee, Fla., during the 2002 Super Re‑ gionals to advance to the College World Series. 9.0 Overnight ranking of the March 28 Kentucky‑Notre Dame NCAA Elite Eight game on TBS — the highest overnight ever for a college basketball game on a single cable network. It also was the second‑highest for any basketball game on cable TV — trail‑ ing only game seven of the Celtics/Heat NBA Eastern Conference Finals in 2012 (9.1). Beyond cable, the 9.0 is the highest for the late Saturday Elite Eight window since Illinois‑Arizona in 2005 (9.1), and the second highest since at least 1998. 15 Goals scored by Notre Dame senior Robbie Russo this season, tying him with Denver's Joey LaLeggia for most in the country by a defenseman. In addition, Russo's 42 points overall were second among all defensemen. Russo became the fifth Notre Dame blue liner ever to earn All‑America honors, joining Bill Nyrop (1973), Jack Brownschidle (1976 and 1977), Benoit Cotnoir (1999) and Ian Cole (2009), now with the Pittsburgh Penguins. 139 Career games played by graduating senior swingman Pat Connaughton — the most ever by a Notre Dame men's player. This streak included starting the final 122 games of his career, making him the third Notre Dame player to post at least 100 consecutive starts. 1971 The last year a Notre Dame men's basketball guard —Austin Carr — earned first‑team All‑America no‑ tice, until fifth‑year senior Jerian Grant did this season from the Associated Press, the National Basketball Coaches Association, the John R. Wooden All‑America squad and the United States Basketball Writers Association. Grant also is the first Notre Dame first‑team All‑American since forward Troy Murphy in 2001. Grant is the lone player in Notre Dame history to score more than 1,700 points, dish out 600 assists, notch 150 steals and block 30 shots. He finished 11th on Notre Dame's career scoring list (1,739), third in assists (690) and fifth in steals (175). He also was one of two players nationally in 2014‑15 to score more than 600 points, hand out 200 assists and make 50 steals, and was just the seventh in ACC history to accomplish that feat.
