  OLYMPIC SPORTS the Gina Relays April 23‑25, the adidas/ Steve Scott Invitational and The Payton Jordan Invitational May 1‑2, the Hillsdale Last Chance Classic May 6‑7 and the To‑ ledo Collegiate Invitational May 7‑8 … Seniors Derek Sievers and Brad Bolton and sophomore Grant Cartwright captured event titles at the Gina Relays … Sievers won the shot put with a toss of 61 feet and two inches, Bolton took the hammer with a throw of 194‑9 and Cartwright picked up his first career victory with a winning discus throw of 161‑4 … Senior Cody Riffle set a program record by throwing the shot put 62‑7.25 during the opening day of the Toledo Invitational to win the first flight … On the final day of the event, four Wolverines captured titles … Senior Codie Nolan won the 100‑meter dash in a personal‑best 10.48 seconds, senior Philip Washington III won the 400‑me‑ ter race in 49.89, freshman Chase Barnett ran a 3:52.76 in the 1,500‑meter run, and sophomore Jarred Bratley paced the field in the 5,000‑meter with a winning time of 15:01.61 … The Wolverines begin the postseason at the Big Ten Championships May 15‑17 in East Lansing, Mich. WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD The Wolverines closed out the regular season at the Toledo Collegiate Invita‑ tional May 7‑8, notching seven top‑ five performances … U‑M placed 13th among 20 challengers at the Drake Relays May 1‑2 … Some of the squad also went to UC Irvine for the adidas/Steve Scott In‑ vitational, a two‑day meet May 1‑2, while 10‑12 distance runners went to Stanford for distance events May 2 only … The Wolverines also showed well in the non‑ scoring Gina Relays April 23‑25, totaling six top‑10 finishes… Junior Cindy Ofili extended her undefeated streak in the 100‑meter hurdles by clocking a 12.96 at the Drake Relays and earned a victory in the same event at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational with a time of 13.03 … Ofili also won the 200‑meter race in her 2015 event debut, clocking a 23.56 while at UC Irvine … The postseason is up next for the Wolverines, with the Big Ten Champion‑ ships May 15‑17 in East Lansing, Mich. WATER POLO (19‑13, 8‑1 CWPA) The Wolverines' season is over after a dramatic loss in the third‑place contest in the CWPA Championships April 26 at Princeton, N.J. … Michigan opened up the CWPA Championships with an 11‑8 win over Bucknell April 24 … Senior Dani‑ elle Robinson and junior Ali Thomason had three goals apiece, and also com‑ bined for three assists … Senior Elizabeth Williams contributed two goals, while freshman Caroline Anderson added a goal and four assists en route to break‑ ing the single‑season school record for assists (50) … The Wolverines lost a 9‑8 heartbreaker to Indiana in the semifi‑ nals April 25 … Junior Ali Thomason and freshman Caroline Anderson both had two goals and an assist, while sophomore goalkeeper Emily Browning posted five saves and a steal … In the third‑place matchup with No. 20 Hartwick, U‑M fell 11‑10 in overtime … Junior Ali Thomason and freshman Caroline Anderson again led the way with four goals and an assist apiece to lead the offensive charge … Seniors Elizabeth Williams and Danielle Robinson also tallied goals in their final game with the Maize and Blue. ❑
