2015 BASKETBALL RECRUITING ISSUE
fense at all times in the paint. It really
opened it up, and when he was open
we hit him."
Defensively is where Teske, Rivals.
com's No. 96 junior nationally, has a
chance to be an immediate difference
maker, he added.
"I've watched a lot of basketball,
and he's probably the best post de-
fenders I've ever seen as far as IQ and
timing, knowing when to jump, when
not to," Barth said. "He does a phe-
nomenal job with that. He keeps him-
self in the game and protects the paint,
but also stays out of foul trouble. He
knows when to jump, when not to and
does a great job whether he blocks a
shot or just alters it."

and staying there — that will deter-
mine his ceiling. There aren't many
seven-footers with his skill set, after
all, and now that he knows he can take
over games, it's up to him to do it. ❏

AAU coach Collin Barth on Teske
"I had a talk with Coach Beilein after he watched one of our
games. Jon played pretty well, but you're always looking for
a little extra. After Coach Beilein spoke to him and I spoke to
him … he had just a completely different motor."
