"I grew up with some of the Michi- gan guys like Derrick Walton," Win- ston said. "I'm pretty comfortable with him. It would be a good expe- rience to play with him, and he's a great player. I probably could learn a lot of things from him." Head coach John Beilein attended the first two days of the Hampton EYBL with assistant coach LaVall Jor- dan. "Coach Beilein is a cool guy," Win- ston said. "I think they are going to be a pretty good team next year and for the years to come." He scored 24 points in his first game with the Atlanta Celtics, an 85-78 win over an elite Team Loaded squad out of North Carolina, and averaged 22.3 points over four games.
