2015 BASKETBALL RECRUITING ISSUE OTHER 2016 PROSPECTS TO WATCH • Devearl Ramsey: The 5-11 point guard out of Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Can- yon — Rivals.com's No. 58 junior nationally — was supposed to visit Michigan last year, but injuries prevented it. U-M is still on his short list, along with North Carolina State, California, USC and Arizona State. Cal has made a move recently after landing his friend, Oakland 2015 power forward Ivan Rabb. He's Rivals. com's No. 8 senior prospect nationally. "They keep telling me about how they like my game," he said of U-M. "I really like the school a lot, and the coaches keep telling me to work on my game … I like what [head coach John Beilein] does with point guards and how he gives them freedom to run the team." • Miles Bridges: A 6-6, 225-pound small forward out of Huntington (W.Va.) Prep, Bridges has earned his spot as Rivals.com's No. 27 junior. He's formerly from Flint, Mich., and was visited in April by U-M head coach John Beilein, but he grew up watching MSU. "Michigan is a school I'm just getting used to," he said, noting his current list consists of the in-state schools and, among others, Iowa State, Louisville, Ken- tucky and Kansas. — Chris Balas FIVE TO WATCH IN 2017 Tremont Waters: Purdue, Connecticut and St. John's have already offered the South Kent (Conn.) High 5-9 point guard, and Michigan has watched Rivals.com's No. 42 sophomore closely. Xavier Tillman: The Grand Rapids (Mich.) Forest Hills Central product (6-7, Rivals.com's No. 68 sophomore nationally) is the son of former U-M women's player Tonya Powell. He holds offers from MSU, Purdue and Xavier, and U-M is watching him. Brian Bowen: A 6-7 jumping jack, Bowen averaged 20 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three blocks per game while leading Saginaw (Mich.) Arthur Hill to the Class A state final as a sophomore. Rivals.com's No. 7 sophomore nationally holds offers from Michigan State, Louisville, Kansas and others, and he hears from U-M frequently. Jermaine Jackson: The 5-8, three-star point guard out of Macomb (Mich.) Dakota isn't big, but he's effective. Michigan coaches have watched him closely and he's been offered by SMU, Florida A&M, Northwestern, Auburn, Detroit and Eastern Michigan. Jaren Jackson: The Indianapolis Park Tudor 6-8 four-star (Rivals.com No. 34 sophomore nationally) has camped at Michigan and holds offers from Indiana and Purdue, plus interest from MSU, Georgetown and others. — Chris Balas
