FOOTBALL RECRUITING S ISAIAH PRYOR (2017) 6-1, 191 • Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer Four-star recruit, 5.8 R ivals rating (lower-tier four-star) Pryor is one of several prospects from Archer High School to hold an opportu- nity at Michigan, joining fellow defen- sive back Jamyest Williams and offensive lineman E.J. Price on the Wolverines' offer list. He has visited twice — on back-to- back weekends in late March and early April — and U-M is standing strong with him. Other schools will have their say, but the early entry to his recruitment and the comfort he's already built on campus are key. Pryor is a smooth, athletic deep-field safety with the size to come up and play the run. CB WILLIAM POOLE III (2017) 5-11, 173 • Atlanta Hapeville Charter Four-star prospect, 5.8 Rivals rating (lower-tier four-star) Poole is one of Michigan's most recent offers, picking up the honor in early May. He has yet to figure out exactly where the Maize and Blue fit into his re- cruitment, but plans to do his research and give the Wolverines a shot. A sum- mer unofficial visit — possibly with Pryor and others — would be a boost to Michigan's chances. Poole is an electric athlete and can close on receivers in a hurry, breaking up passes or intercepting them. OFFERED, COMMITTED ELSEWHERE Michigan won't close the door on prospects it has offered that have committed to other schools. Even if it's unlikely they end up wearing the winged helmet, seeing how they compete against uncommitted U‑M targets can provide a preview of fu‑ ture matchups on the field. RB KAREEM WALKER (OHIO STATE) 6-1, 210 • Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic Five-star recruit, No. 2 player in New Jer- sey, and No. 1 running back and No. 18 overall prospect nationally Walker appeared to be very high on Michigan before making a surprise commitment to Ohio State. While he seems solid with the Buckeyes, pro- grams like home -state Rutgers are trying to shake him loose. Seeing him compete with U-M linebacker targets will be quite the show. RB MILES SANDERS (PENN STATE) 5-11, 192 • Pittsburgh Woodland Hills Four-star prospect, No. 1 player in Penn- sylvania, and No. 2 running back and No. 53 overall recruit nationally Like Walker, Sanders made a semi-sur- prising commitment to a Big Ten rival when he pulled the trigger for Penn State earlier than many expected. It's unclear just how highly the Harbaugh coaching staff regards him, but if he were on the open market, they would at least gauge where he stands. OL GREGORY LITTLE (TEXAS A&M) 6-5, 285 • Allen (Texas) High School Five-star recruit, No. 1 player in Texas, and No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 8 over- all prospect nationally Little is one of the nation's top pros-
