COMMITMENT PROFILE Michigan's satellite camp tour netted several commitments for the Maize and Blue. Ten of the 21 mem- bers on the current commitment list pulled the trigger after participating in one of the satellites or the on-cam- pus "Exposure U" camp. Perhaps none was as surprising, though, as Norco (Calif.) High quar- terback Victor Viramontes. That's not because of a low ranking — he's a three-star, but four two-stars are among the camp commitments, too — but rather because the Wolverines looked to have the position set in the 2016 class after receiving a pledge from Avon, Ind., four-star Brandon Peters. However, Viramontes impressed first at the Rivals.com Five-Star Chal- lenge presented by Under Armour, and then just a few days later at Michigan's satellite camp in Fresno, Calif. Though five-star linebacker Caleb Kelly was the primary target at the Fresno camp, Viramontes im- pressed too much to go without a Michigan offer. QB Pledge Victor Viramontes Was Surprised To Earn U-M Offer It may have been a bit of a shock to see Michigan take a second quarterback in the 2016 class, but Viramontes showed he was deserving of an offer and is athletic enough to con- tribute at other positions if it doesn't work out under center.
