Projected at 165 pounds, he's a three-time Michigan state champion and a four-time state finalist. The St. Johns, Mich., native's only loss in the state finals came in overtime as a 119-pound freshman, 5-3. He fashioned a 182-4 career record as a prep performer, going 55-0 as a junior and 45-0 his senior season. The 2014 UWW Junior National freestyle champion also became a 2014 USA Wrestling Junior National finalist. He recently took third at the 2015 UWW Junior World Team Trials. His older brother, Taylor, is already a wrestler on the Michigan squad. "He's a special guy," noted M i c h i g a n w re s t l i n g c o a c h J o e McFarland. "He's one of those guys that doesn't come along very often. He just continues to get better. He's really focused, and he's extremely driven. I think he's going to have a great career here at Michigan." Fr a n c i s A t u a h e n e , s o c c e r — Michigan pulled in one of the top players from the prep ranks on the pitch, getting Francis Atuahene from Accra, Ghana. The standout, who performed with the Beachside Soccer Club of Connecticut, is ranked the No. 13 player in the U.S. by CollegeSoccerNews.com, as well as No. 44 by TopDrawerSoccer.com, which lists him as a four-star recruit. In 2014, Atuahene earned MVP honors at the NSCAA High School All-American All-Star Game, and he's a two-time NSCAA High School All-American. "Francis is an attacking player and will certainly be an influential player at Michigan throughout his years," noted U-M head coach Chaka Daley. "He's a midfielder by trade, but certainly has excellent pace and tools to be an outstanding one-on- one attacking player. He is unique to any other player we've had here at Michigan, especially since I have been here." C h a r l i e D o n o v a n , b a s e b a l l — Donovan, a 5-11, 180-pound shortstop, earned Gatorade State Baseball Player of the Year honors in Illinois this spring. The Westmont High product hit .524 with six home runs and 32 RBI in 35 games this spring, leading his team to a 27-8 record. The two-time all-state player also scored 60 runs, stole 39 bases and managed a .952 slugging percentage. He's a MaxPreps Small School All-American, and a member of USA Today's American Family Insurance All-USA Illinois first-team. He is No. 16 in the 2015 class, according to Prep Baseball Report, and was recently drafted in the 30th round by the Milwaukee Brewers. Myles Schalet, tennis — Schalet comes to Ann Arbor as a five-star signee, the No. 24 senior in the nation and No. 2 prep player from the state of New Jersey. He has reached both the singles finals and doubles semifinals at the United States Tennis Association Regional Tournament. He became a doubles champion at the Coca Cola International
