that at some point, even after their careers in or-
ange and blue are over, they might one day arrive
at an NFL stadium, warm up, and take the field
only to see a very familiar face on the other side
of the ball.
"That's the dream," Dean said with a smile. "It
would just be a blessing. For me and a lot of other
guys, that's your childhood dream, to play this
game at the highest level. To see that come true
would be a true blessing.
"But to be able to line up against him? That
would just be awesome. Ross and I have been
going at it and grinding for the last four years
together."
"Obviously, that would be incredible," Burbank
said. "That's the goal. We joke about it some-
times, about how cool it would be to be on that
type of stage and have that kind of opportunity.
"Obviously, you have to be very fortunate to
have that chance, but it would be real cool to see
each other at that level and just say, 'One more
time.' That's what we're striving towards."
If it happens, they will definitely have their new
"opponent" to thank.
"Competition?" Dean added. "It breeds cham-
pions." ◆
