IRISH IN THE PROS Riggs and Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Ben Koyack — because of the vet‑ eran‑laden 2015 team, but Riggs earns the nod over Koyack with his seven tackles, one pass defended and one forced fumble in six games. Koyack has yet to appear in an NFL game, but Riggs has helped a Titans team that changed coaches in Novem‑ ber and has only two wins on the sea‑ son. Riggs' top performance came in a 34‑28 win at New Orleans Nov. 8, when he recorded five tackles and a forced fumble. Surprise Of The Midseason: Golden Tate, Detroit Lions: Tate emerging as a 2015 surprise is a bad development for both himself and the two‑win Lions. When Detroit went 11‑5 in 2014, Tate caught 99 passes for 1,331 yards and four touchdowns, but those numbers have significantly dropped for one of the NFL's worst offenses this season. Through nine games, Tate had reg‑ istered 44 receptions for 429 yards and one touchdown while the Lions look destined for a sub‑.500 finish.
