of Florida in the Citrus Bowl. With three seasons of eligibility remaining, Pep- pers should be more than motivated to jump back into the fray in 2016. 4. JEHU CHESSON Redshirt Junior, WR Michigan's team MVP took a little while to get fully synced up with his new quarterback. Once he did, they both went on a tear for the Wolverines. Chesson caught 50 passes for a team- leading 764 yards and nine touch- downs. He averaged 15.3 yards per catch and saved some of his finest mo- ments for when the Wolverines needed him down the stretch. In the double-overtime track meet at Indiana, Chesson caught 10 passes for 207 yards and four touchdowns. Then he capped his redshirt junior season with an eye-opening effort against Florida All-America cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III, blowing by him for a 31- yard touchdown catch and a 45-yard hookup with Rudock on a post pattern. Harbaugh spoke with enthusiasm all season long about Chesson and his growing leadership abilities. After the bowl, the head coach remained excited about a player who will go into 2016 as one of the Wolverines' primary weap- ons. "Jehu Chesson, the MVP," Harbaugh beamed. "He's a great player. He's one of those guys covering those kicks, and it was great to get a post route. It was great to hit that. "A lot of tight throws were made to- day. I mean, Florida is so athletic and has so much speed that there's only tiny windows to make those throws and complete those catches. And the receiv- ers made big catches. As soon as they were catching the ball, they were get- ting hit and held onto the ball." 5. JAKE BUTT Junior, TE Butt makes it three All-Americans in the top five players for the Wolverines this season, a testament to how they have exploded under the guidance of Harbaugh and his staff. Butt garnered first-team All-America notice from Sports Illustrated and Sporting News, Sports Illustrated and Sporting News tabbed junior tight end Jake Butt a first-team All- American after he hauled in 51 receptions for 654 yards and three touchdowns.
