The Michigan head coach demands laser focus on the moments at hand, ones that fashion the shining moments to come. In the heady hour following the Wolverines' 70-67 victory over No. 3 Maryland, Jan. 12 at Crisler Center, Beilein couldn't help himself. He ac- knowledged the immense value of this win — without senior star Caris LeVert — at present and beyond. "There's a Big Ten championship we want to win, but there's also a thing called Selection Sunday," Beilein said. "We don't want to be missing on Se- lection Sunday. "You have to have top-50 wins. And you have to have a few of them. That's my belief. We've got to continue to do that, and this one helps a lot."
