FROM OUR READERS • Seems like [new defensive coordinator] Don Brown relies on getting pres- sure from all over the place — if [Bryan] Mone and [Ryan] Glasgow are firing up the middle and commanding double teams, you can bring a number of different guys. Your interior of Mone, Glasgow, [Maurice] Hurst and possibly [Rashan] Gary is elite — [Chris] Wormley and Taco [Charlton] are "very solid" on the edges. They could use a youngster to step up and bring five or six sacks off the bench. SOHOAFFAIR • Willie Henry was a monster for us this year. He was flashing pro potential all year, and if he graduated, it makes sense to go now. Interior linemen with edge pass rush skills — that's not common in a guy his size. animusinabsentia • I wish Willie Henry the best of luck, and I understand his decision. But there is no way to sugarcoat his loss. It's a big blow. He was a beast against Florida. We have some great players on the defensive line, and I hope we have another one joining soon. It won't be a weakness, but it won't be as big a strength as it would have been. I was looking forward to a three-man rotation of all studs to be able to be fresh in the fourth quarter against up-tempo teams. jacksurf22 • Henry committed a day or two ahead of signing day (and Dennis Norfleet), and the response on the board was not very excited. At that point, taking a three-star — same stars, but lower Rivals rating than [Matt] Godin and [Tom] Strobel — didn't seem to make many people happy. Mostly, folks thought it was good to have another inroad to Glenville High. How far those feelings seem to have come now, when Willie Henry is leaving, and the overwhelming sentiment is how much we'd like to see him stay. MrNvisible • This team will go as far as the three leaders take them — [Derrick] Walton, [Zak] Irvin and Caris [LeVert], who obviously needs to get healthy. I liked how John Beilein challenged Walton the other night and Walton responded. These guys are talented, and if they can get and stay healthy will determine how far or not this team goes. Point being, they need to bring it every night … not every home game, not when they feel challenged, but every game. There aren't any, or certainly very few, teams that will simply out-talent us.
