MICHIGAN BASKETBALL Michigan hosts Minnesota at Crisler Center Jan. 20, then travels to Nebraska for a contest Jan. 23. Beilein summed it up on a recent appearance of "The Huge Show" over the Michigan radio airwaves. "I don't know when to expect him back, but I do know he's steadily im- proving," Beilein said. "It's the old thing — we don't want this injury to linger. We want him to be 100 per- cent healthy to get back there so it doesn't cause other injury. "We've just got to think along those lines right now. We don't want a guy playing a game or two in pain so he's in more pain and can't play. As soon as that pain is gone, I expect him to be able to practice a couple days and be in there." "That's a concern," Beilein admitted prior to Michigan's loss at Iowa Jan. 17 that dropped the Wolverines to 3-2 in conference play.
