BASKETBALL RECRUITING JORDAN POOLE IS SOLID WITH MICHIGAN Michigan class of 2017 shooting guard pledge Jordan Poole (6‑4, Rivals.com's No. 95 junior nation‑ ally) out of Milwaukee King showed why many believe he's one of the fastest rising players in his class the weekend of April 1, dominating with Wisconsin Playground Elite at the NY2LA event in his home state. "The 6‑foot‑4 product of Milwau‑ kee King who plays for Playground Elite isn't a high flyer, but he's clever and has a dangerous jumper out to the three‑point line," Rivals.com's Eric Bossi wrote. "He's smart, and his best attribute is his ability to move away from the ball, which should eventually serve him well in Ann Arbor." Poole averaged 18.2 points per game to lead King to a 15‑9 record this year, one in which he excelled but his team struggled to find its groove. "I felt I played good, but we had a lot of ups and downs this season," Poole said. "There were a lot of lead‑ ership tests, a lot of stuff going on. Personally, though, I felt I contrib‑ uted to making the right decisions and plays throughout the course of season, and I got better." Poole has proven he's more than just a shooter, and he took it to an‑ other level in his first AAU event of the year. He knows his skill set fits perfectly at Michigan and hasn't wa‑ vered on his pledge since committing last October. He last visited for U‑M's home loss to Michigan State.
