COMMITMENT PROFILE
campus.
"I have a full offer from Troy, and
I've been getting a lot of attention
from Florida, Tennessee and Miami,
but they never really showed me
the love," Lasater explained. "They
never really put much effort into it.
They never invited me to come visit,
but Michigan did.
"I guess they like me and they saw
something in me, and that made me
feel really good."
With a Michigan offer and a com-
mitment now in place, other schools
are going to take notice of Lasater.
New offers could come his way and
other solid options might pop up, but
he said he is beyond content with his
choice.
"I'm sticking with Michigan —
that's my plan," he said. "I commit-
ted and I'm going to stick by that.
Michigan is a great educational
school.
"Obviously, the athletics and foot-
ball are great. I think I'm going to
win a national championship while
I'm there.
"I really like the coaches, and I love
Coach Harbaugh. I don't see myself
decommitting at all. I'm happy with
my decision."
Last year as a junior, Lasater played
in all 14 games for Trinity Christian.
He carried the ball just two times for
seven yards, but one of those carries
was a one-yard touchdown run. He
did most of his damage on defense,
tallying 43 tackles, 10.5 stops for loss
and five sacks for MaxPreps.com's
No. 33 team in the country.
