breaststroke and third in the 200-yard
individual medley a year ago at the
Ohio D-I State Championship meet.
He made his way to the event finals
five times in the 2015 NCSA Junior
National Championships, recording
top-10 finishes in the 200-yard free-
style, 200-yard individual medley, 50-
yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke
and 100-yard breaststroke.
Will Lockwood; Royal Oak, Mich.; ice
hockey — Lockwood is one of three
incoming Michigan freshmen drafted
by an NHL squad in June. The right
winger intends to fulfill his dream of
playing at Michigan, but obviously
has drawn notice at an even higher
level of the sport.
The Vancouver Canucks took the
5-11, 172-pound forward with the
third pick of the third round (No. 64
overall) in the draft. Lockwood comes
out of the USA Hockey National Team
Development Program's U18 squad.
Last season, he recorded 13 goals
and 20 assists in 59 games. The son of
Felix Aubock comes to Michigan with international swimming experience after competing
for the Austrian National Team.
