• Third-year swimmer Leah Smith retained
her NCAA titles in the 500 and 1,650 free-
style.
• Fourth-year tennis player Danielle Collins
captured her second NCAA singles title in
three seasons, which enabled her to become
only the seventh female (the first from the
ACC) ever to win two NCAA singles cham-
pionships. Those accomplishments earned her
the ITA National Player of the Year accolade.
• Third-year runner Henry Wynne captured
first place in the mile at the NCAA Indoor
Championships, while teammate Filip Mi-
haljevic won the outdoor shot put.
Brogdon and Smith were named UVA's top
male and female athletes.

Third-year Filip Mihaljevic was among the four UVA student-athletes that won an
individual national title in 2015-16, taking first in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor
Championships.
