have learned from him that's helped you in
your career?
TIFFANY: "Dom is simply one of the best
men on this planet. What I've always felt
from Dom as a former player of his and a
mentee is a love and respect. If I've learned
anything it's to transfer that love and respect.
"If I can continue to keep the focus that the
mission is to develop difference makers then
I believe I will be honoring Dom's legacy
and putting Virginia in a better position to be
successful."
CAVALIER CORNER: Brown led the na-
tion in scoring last season. Based on what
you know about Virginia's returning players,
do you feel you'll be able to implement an
up-tempo game?
TIFFANY: "There may not be a better pro-
gram for our staff to insert ourselves and
implement our aggressive, fast-paced style
of play. Dom and his staff have recruited
exciting athletes.
"Our staff is really eager to begin work-
ing with them. We believe that they possess
the physical ability and skill set to allow our
system to be effective."
CAVALIER CORNER: You're a new coach.
What must you do to gain your players' con-
fidence and convince them they can be a
winning team?
TIFFANY: "Confidence is earned. I've
coached my team with a simple mantra, ex-
pect nothing and earn everything. Our men
will earn everything we achieve. Confidence
is included in that.
"With grit, determination and willpower
we'll define ourselves as men committed to
each other and the mission of making Vir-
ginia lacrosse great again."
