will look to use in a variety of ways. The Wahoos will likely line Zaccheaus up all over the field as well. In fact, the running back turned wideout was named to the Paul Hornung Award Watch List, given annually to the most versatile player in major college football. The Philadelphia native had the type of r o o k i e c a m p a i g n that just screams for a breakout year. He tallied 262 yards and one touchdown on the ground (on just 33 carries), while adding 216 yards on 21 re‑ ceptions and another score through the air. In addition, he pro‑ duced 541 kick return yards. Needless to say, the 5‑8 Zaccheaus will touch the ball early and often for Virginia in 2016. 5. Third-Year Defensive End Andrew Brown — A former five‑star recruit who struggled through an injury‑plagued rookie year in 2014, Brown saw limited action a season ago at defensive tackle. But with the team's move to a 3‑4 defense, the 6‑4, 280‑pounder will look to have a big season at defensive end in 2016. He was one of the standouts that Menden‑ hall identified in the spring and looks to be a potential game changer for the Wahoos off the edge. TOP GAMES 1. At Oregon, Sept. 10 — UVA's mar‑ quee non‑conference game this season, this matchup (which doesn't kick off until 10:30 p.m. on the East Coast) provides an interest‑ ing challenge for the Wahoos. The Ducks won't be the caliber of team they were when they travelled to Charlottesville a couple of years ago, but they're still a very formidable opponent out of the Pac‑12. It also represents Mendenhall's first chance to head back west and possibly surprise the college football world. Con‑ sidering the pace that Oregon likes to play with, this will also be an intriguing test of UVA's revamped style of play. 2 . A t Vi rg i n i a Tech, Nov. 26 — Few rivalries in all of col‑ lege football will have the kind of intrigue that the Clash for the Commonwealth Cup will have in 2016, with both schools welcom‑ ing new head coaches. In Blacksburg, Justin Fuente brings his high‑octane offense over from Memphis in replacing Frank Beamer, but Tech kept longtime defensive coordinator Bud Foster and many of his assistants. Nothing underscored the frustrations of Virginia fans like London's losing streak to the Hokies, and Mendenhall's first opportu‑ nity to get a win against them could break an 11‑year losing streak. 3. North Carolina, Oct. 22 — Looking at the schedule, this matchup with the Tar Heels in Charlottesville is in the middle of a key three‑game home stand that could make or break Virginia's 2016 season. In between playing Pitt Oct. 15 and Louisville Oct. 29, the Hoos will welcome the Tar Heels to 2016 SCHEDULE Date Opponent (TV) Time (ET) Sept. 3 Richmond (ESPN3) 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Oregon (ESPN) 10:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Connecticut (ESPN3) 1:30 p.m. Sept. 24 Central Michigan TBA Oct. 1 at Duke TBA Oct. 15 Pittsburgh TBA Oct. 22 North Carolina TBA Oct. 29 Louisville TBA Nov. 5 at Wake Forest TBA Nov. 12 Miami (Fla.)
