JANUARY 2017 THE WOLVERINE 19 "I'll speak for me — I'm not leav- ing Michigan," Harbaugh assured. "I'm not even considering it. A lot of this talk is coming from our enemies, coaches who … you know the names. You probably know the names of the top three I'm referring to. "They like to say that to the media. They like to tell that to the recruits, to their families, try to manipulate them into going to some other school besides Michigan. We know them as jive turkeys. "Say it like it is — that's the way it is." Harbaugh called it like he sees it all night long, regarding Michigan's other award winners and seniors. The seniors who already received an M ring were presented with either a watch or a blanket, and in a twist this year, parents of U-M seniors were af- forded a chance to speak about their sons. The other award winners had a few things to say themselves, like fifth-year senior Erik Magnuson, winner of the Hugh J. Rader Jr. Me- morial Award as Michigan's best offensive linemen. He thanked his veteran linemates, several of whom he said could have earned the hard- ware, along with praising Harbaugh and his staff. "He's the best coach in the world to play for," Magnuson said. "Any of the players would say this. Coach [Jedd] Fisch is a great passing game coordinator and a great guy to be around. Coach [Tim] Drevno, in my opinion, without a doubt, is the best offensive line coach in the country. "When he got here, I don't know if he was a little bit shocked at what was given to him. Some would ar- gue it was not a whole lot. He took a group of, you could argue, fat, degenerated, not-so-good offensive linemen and shaped us into some pretty good [players], back to what Michigan expects of the offensive line." Fifth-year senior defensive linemen Ryan Glasgow and Chris Wormley shared the Dick Katcher Award, as the Wolverines' best at the position. "There were a lot of defensive line- men that could have also won this award — Taco [Charlton], Mo [Mau- rice Hurst], Matt [Godin]," Glasgow insisted. "These guys were great to play next to for the past four or five years. They're like my brothers.
