previously un- defeated Ohio … In the 69-46 victory over the Bobcats, junior guard Katelynn Flaherty scored 25 points, topping 1,500 points for her career; she is just the sev- enth player in program history to reach that mark … The Wolverines defeated then-No. 25 Gonzaga 78-66 Nov. 24 … That victory came in the first game of the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands … Michigan reached the cham- pionship game of the tournament before falling 76-62 to then-No. 10 Florida State … Two of the Wolverines' three losses have come against top-10 competition … In a 92-57 victory over San Diego State Dec. 9, senior guard Siera Thompson notched her first double-double with 11 points and 11 assists … Five Wolverines posted double-digit point totals in the win over SDSU … Freshman guard Kysre Gondrezick is averaging 12.5 points per game off the bench for the Wolverines … Sophomore center Halle Thome is the second-leading scorer for Michigan, averaging 12.7 points per game … On Dec. 13, head coach Kim Barnes-Arico an- nounced that sophomore guard Boogie Brozoski was granted her release from the program and would be transferring to another school … Michigan has two more games Michigan divers placed in the top 10 … The Wolverines had five top-eight finishes in Georgia, led by sophomore Blake Maczka, who finished second in the 1,650-yard free- style with a career-best time Welsh earned All-North Region team honorable men- tion … The Wolverines ended the regular season with a 3-0 win over then No. 14 Michigan State, followed by a 3-1 loss to then-No. 1 Nebraska … Michigan hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Tourna- ment, facing American and then No. 19 Oregon … The Wolverines dominated on their home court, dropping just one set in the two home victories then-No. 24 Or- egon State Dec. 20 before placing ninth out of 36 teams in the Cliff Keen Las Ve- gas Invitational … Redshirt freshmen Stevan Micic (133) and Myles Amine (174) took second and third in their re- spective weight classes in Vegas, while classmate Logan Massa won at 165 … Amine knocked off a pair of returning All- Americans, while Massa beat the grap- pler who was ranked No. 2 nationally in the finals … Massa is now 15-0 on the year with three top-10 wins … The Wol- verines opened Big Ten competition at home against No. 13 Minnesota, falling in a close match, 22-18 … Ranked eighth at 133 pounds, Micic came away with a pin in the final match of the meet, overcom- ing No. 18 Mitch McKee … Michigan will begin the new year at home with tough matches against No. 3 Iowa Jan. 6
