basketball recruiting blowout win over Iowa in early January. Plenty Of Options In The Class Of 2014 Michigan coaches continue to evaluate class of 2014 prospects and are still in search of their first pledge (other than the reclassified Hatch). One player — Franklin (Ohio) Middletown forward Vince Edwards (6-5, Rivals.com's No.  63 junior nationally) — remains high on the Wolverines' wish list. Edwards was slated to visit for Michigan's January game with Iowa, but he was forced to reschedule. He still has yet to get to campus, but if he does it's likely he'll receive an offer. Edwards notched 13 points and 10 rebounds in a 56-47 win at Oak Hills in mid-January, and followed up with 18 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in a five-point win over Lakota East in front of U-M assistant Jeff Meyer. He missed Middletown's loss to Winton Woods due to a knee injury, but he wasn't expected to miss much time. GoldandBlack.com caught up with Edwards following a win over Lakota East. "[Purdue] Coach [Matt] Painter wants me to fill that Robbie Hummel role," Edwards said. "That's what he sees in me. But he says he thinks I might be able to do even a little bit more. He thinks I can really be a huge asset for them as a freshman. "They're so high at the top of my interest in colleges, it's ridiculous. It's a great college, a great atmosphere. The fans are really into it. It's a really good place to be." Edwards said in January he'd like to see Michigan before deciding, and it appears that's still his plan. "At the top it's still Purdue and Michigan, and now Minnesota is showing a lot of interest in me," he said, acknowledging Purdue was still his leader. "I'm trying to get some visits worked out, but with my mom's work schedule and my dad going back to school and doing some coaching, it's kind of hard right now. But we're trying to get the right dates and find the right times." Edwards hopes to decide before his senior year. One who has already been offered, Moss Point, Miss., shooting guard Devin Booker (6-4, No. 24 junior
