basketball recruiting in the country), recently scored 32 points in a 58-56 loss to Gulfport in front of Michigan State and LSU assistants, GulfLive.com reported Jan.  11. Booker thrived against a double-teaming defense, scoring 28 points in a 43-41 loss to Pascagoula in the following game, and was held to eight in a 38-36 win over Pass Christian Jan.  19. Booker is averaging 30 points per game and still has Michigan high on his list with Missouri thought to be the main competition. He has a U-M offer. Michigan's other 2014 offeree, Indianapolis Park Tudor 's Trevon Bluiett (6-5, 185, No. 46 player in his class) nearly notched a tripledouble Jan. 4 in the Class 2A No.  1 Panthers' 82-37 blowout of Heritage Christian. Bluiett finished with team highs in points (19), rebounds (nine) and assists (eight) while playing just three quarters. He entered the game averaging 30.4 points per contest and hadn't been held to fewer than 27 points this year. Bluiett scored 40 points and added 11 rebounds in a 73-68 loss to North Central in front of Michigan head coach John Beilein, Butler 's Brad Stevens and a Purdue assistant in December, and added 34 points and 10 rebounds in a 66-53 win over TriWest the next night. More recently, he scored a gamehigh 30 points in a 77-76 win over Indianapolis Pike and 21 in a 30-point win over Speedway the weekend of Jan. 18. He also visited Butler for its big home win over Gonzaga Jan. 19. "Since we live five minutes away, it doesn't hurt to go see their practices and see what I can learn and use at the high school level," Bluiett, a 28.9-points-per-game scorer, told the Indianapolis Star, adding he's developed a great relationship with Butler coach Brad Stevens. Bluiett has an Indiana offer and has made multiple unofficial visits to the school. He has also visited U-M and plans to return to Ann Arbor for a Big Ten game. Class Of 2014 Notes • Michigan big man target Ricky Doyle (6-9, 235, unrated) of Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot remains a likely bet for a scholarship offer when he visits. He holds U-M in high esteem, with programs such as Notre Dame and Stanford also in the mix. Doyle has been sidelined for weeks with a foot injury. • Long Beach (Calif.) Poly small forward Kameron Chatman (6-6, No.  38 junior) is another who could receive an offer when he visits this winter, as planned. Chatman, an Oregon transplant, has to sit until early March due to California transfer rules but has been spending time with the school's JV team. • Two new in-state targets have emerged and plan Michigan visits, though neither appears to be in line for an immediate offer. Beilein has watched Warren De La Salle's A.J. Turner (6-7), whose best game of the year was a 35-point explosion in a win over Grand Rapids Christian, as well as Walled Lake Western big man Miroslav Jaksic (6-10). Duke has also been in to see Jaksic, who scored 13 points, notched seven rebounds and added five blocked shots
