PHOTO COURTESY NC STATE MEDIA RELATIONS Three Golfers To Watch Senior Christian Salzer The Sumter, S.C., native led NC State with a 70.25 average this past fall, and finished second with a 12-under-par 204 at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate Oct. 5-6 at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course. Salzer was fourth on the team last year with a 73.18 stroke average, and had a low-round score of 67 in the sec - ond round of the Brandon Dunes Championship last March. He has three top-10 finishes to his credit. Senior Benjamin Shipp The steady Shipp, who is from Atlanta, entered his senior year ranked fourth on the school's all- time list for career stroke average at 71.66. His clip of 71.06 strokes per round last year ranks sixth all time for single season. He shot par or below in a team-best 22 rounds last year, and he had the lowest score on the squad in four tournaments. Shipp finished with five top-10 performances, in - cluding winning the Wolfpack Intercollegiate and the Puerto Rico Classic. He was impressive this past fall, averaging 70.64 strokes while tying for second at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate and tying for eighth at the Wolfpack Collegiate. Senior Brett McLamb The graduate transfer from Campbell posted a 73.11 stroke average in 89 rounds last year for the Camels, which was ninth lowest in school history. He was a two-time Big South All-Conference performer who played in three NCAA Regionals. McLamb has eight career top-10 finishes between his time at Campbell (six times) and NC State (twice). McLamb averaged 72.53 strokes last year, helping the Camels win the Big South title for the second time in three years. He won the Mea Lanakila Individual Sept. 13- 15 with a 6-under-par 210.
