Syracuse can't wait to get its dismal season over with, while the Fighting Irish season is in many ways just getting heated up, considering all the postseason opportunities that await. With the Notre Dame campus essentially closed for an extended 10-week winter break (the sec- ond semester is slated to begin the first week of February), the university is limiting attendance for this game to only faculty, staff and players' families — all of which will make for a strange Senior Day setting.
