Amine had defeated the Penn State wrestler in the Big Ten finals, but Brooks controlled the rematch, winning 5-3 to claim his second consecutive national championship. Brooks was the fourth of five Penn State wrestlers to win indi- vidual titles March 19 in Detroit, and the Nittany Lions coasted to another NCAA team title under coach Cael Sanderson.
