Several Notre Dame commits have not started their seasons yet. • Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep's Keon Keeley, the No. 1 edge and No. 3 overall player per On3, decommitted from Notre Dame Aug. 17. Alabama, Florida and Ohio State are the programs in pursuit of the five-star talent. Other powerhouse programs are hoping Keeley isn't the only player who flips his pledge from the Irish. Denton (Texas) Guyer's Peyton Bowen, the No. 2 safety and No. 18 overall recruit nationally per On3, committed to Notre Dame in January but has still given other programs a look. He visited Oklahoma Sept. 10 and Texas A&M Sept. 17. It would be a tough blow for Notre Dame to lose the five-star talent; the Irish staff is battling hard to keep him in the fold. Austin (Texas ) Westlake's Jaden Greathouse, the No. 23 wideout and No. 154 overall prospect in the land, committed to Notre Dame over Texas in July but the local Longhorns aren't letting up. Blue & Gold Illustrated believes that he's solid in his Notre Dame pledge, though. Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab's Jaiden Ausberry, the No. 19 linebacker and No. 219 overall recruit in America, is hearing a lot from Auburn — the program his brother plays for — but is expected to stick with the Irish. Notre Dame looks to be recruiting at a higher level under Marcus Freeman, but with that, other programs won't stop coming after your commits. We're seeing that now. Can the Irish hold on? • Notre Dame is likely to host one of the best wide receivers in the 2024 class Oct. 15 when Stanford comes to town. St. Louis University High's Ryan Wingo, who On3 ranks as the nation's No. 3 wide receiver and No. 14 overall player, told BGI that he's booked to make the trip to South Bend. It will be Wingo's fifth overall visit to Notre Dame and his third this calendar year. He is considered an Irish lean and would give Notre Dame's 2024 class a big boost if he picks Freeman's program. — Mike Singer Follow @MikeTSinger on Twitter for recruiting updates! RECRUITING NOTES
