RECRUITING NOTES • Notre Dame is trending in Forney (Texas) High four-star running back Javian Osborne's recruitment after he unofficially visited campus twice this spring. Osborne, On3's No. 15 running back and No. 158 overall player in the 2026 class, was in South Bend for the first time March 18. Thirteen days later, he announced that he would only consider the Fighting Irish and Michigan Wolverines mov- ing forward. On3's No. 18 recruit in Texas plans to announce his decision May 3. Notre Dame is best positioned to receive his pledge. "It's so different from every other school because of its pres- tige and history, especially being in the stadium, the history of it," Osborne told Blue & Gold Illustrated. "Just seeing the different accolades of the coaches. Honestly, it's different and probably the best, hands down, visit I've been on." Osborne returned to South Bend for the Blue-Gold Game April 12. That trip reinforced Notre Dame's high standing in his recruitment. "The first visit blew my mind away. I loved it," Osborne said. "The second visit was not even a question of whether they could keep the standard. It felt more like home." If Osborne declared to the Irish, he would become new running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider's first commitment since joining the coaching staff in February. • The Irish also have a great chance to secure another talented prospect from Texas. They also hosted Bastrop (Texas) High three-star recruit Tiki Hola on April 12. Hola, On3's No. 159 recruit in the Lone Star State and No. 84 defensive lineman in the class, is set to reveal his college commitment May 10. Notre Dame, SMU and Southern Cal are his finalists. The Irish made a strong final impression before he reveals his pick. "Everything went great," Hola told Blue & Gold Illustrated. "It was good to see all the coaches and everybody. They were open about everything." Hola plans to officially visit SMU May 2. That will be his final recruiting visit before announcing his decision. • Notre Dame is one of four finalists for Red Oak (Texas) High three-star wide receiver Brayden Rob- inson. On March 24, he announced a top four schools featuring the Irish, Arizona, Miami (Florida) and Ohio State. Robinson visited campus for the first time Jan. 25 and returned for the Blue-Gold Game April 12. On3's No. 80 player in Texas and No. 101 wide receiver in America in the class left South Bend with a notable message from the Irish coaching staff. "It was a good visit," Robinson told Blue & Gold Illustrated. "The highlights were meeting with Coach [Marcus] Freeman, Coach [Mike] Denbrock and Coach [Mike] Brown, and hearing and seeing their vi- sion for me in the program. "I'm a priority for them in this class. They feel like I can bring some juice to the offense." Robinson plans to commit on July 20. Before that, he will return to Notre Dame on June 20 for his final official visit. — Kyle Kelly Follow @ByKyleKelly on X for daily recruiting updates on BlueandGold.com!
