Jordan Kovacs • NFL The former Michigan safety and Miami Dolphins rookie was signed off the practice squad in October and has appeared in seven games, primarily on special teams. He has notched one tackle. Al Montoya • NHL The former Michigan and current Winnipeg netminder won his last three starts dating back to Nov. 27, lowering his goals-against average to 2.24. The Jets' backup stopped 22 of 24 shots in a 3-2 win at Columbus Dec. 16 for his fifth victory of the year.
