  MICHIGAN BASKETBALL pulled down a season-high nine rebounds in 13 minutes during the title contest, while redshirt junior Jon Horford posted a season-best two blocks. • Irvin earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors Dec. 2, largely from his career-high 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting in Michigan's 87-45 win over Coppin State Nov. 29. Irvin knocked down six three-pointers on his way to leading the Wolverines in scoring, and recorded a career-high nine field goals. • The Wolverines set a number of team season highs against Coppin State, including: most field goals (31), rebounds (44), blocked shots (six) and free throw percentage (.929, 13 of 14). They tied a season low with seven turnovers. • Freshman Cole McConnell notched his first career points on a threepointer late in the contest, while two others also cracked the scoreboard for the first time. Sean Lonergan hit a pair of free throws and Brad Anlauf made a jump shot. • McGary and Morgan each made their first start of the season in the win over Coppin State. • LeVert's career-high-tying 24 points weren't enough to lift the Wolverines to a win at Duke Dec. 3 in the Big Ten/ ACC Challenge. The Blue Devils won 79-69, despite LeVert's 20 second-half points. • Duke limited the Wolverines to a season-low 22 first-half points. Michigan's previous low was 23, versus UMass-Lowell. • Michigan's Dec. 14 loss to Arizona Under head coach John Beilein, Michigan is now 25-0 when scoring 80 or more points.
