in high regard along with Ohio State, Penn State and hometown Pittsburgh. Floridian Jake Fruhmorgen out of Tampa's Plant High School is an- other offensive lineman with an early Michigan offer — and he has just as many options around the coun- try as Jenkins. The 6-5, 265-pound four-star 's father, John, played at Alabama, but Michigan is one school that he's mentioned as being particu- larly intriguing. Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral is fa- miliar with sending good linemen to Ann Arbor — both Craig Roh and Taylor Lewan were in the 2009 class — and four-star offensive tackle Keenan Walker could be next. Al- though the No. 142 prospect in the nation doesn't know much about Michigan beyond its connections through Roh and Lewan, he's inter- ested in learning more. Defensive Tackle 2014 Scholarship Players: 7 2015 Needs: 0-1 Michigan's roster is well stocked on interior defensive linemen. Junior Ondre Pipkins will be returning from an ACL injury suffered during the fall, but should be able to see the field once more. Redshirt sophomores Tom Strobel and Willie Henry will be expected to make an impact as well, with redshirt freshmen Maurice Hurst Jr. and Henry Poggi hoping to make their first impact on the field. Incoming freshmen Bryan Mone and Brady Pallante will add to depth, but likely redshirt like the players ahead of them. With so many players returning this year — and none of them run- ning out of eligibility — defensive tackle is a position at which the Wol- verines can hold out for an elite pros- pect, if they take one at all. Although Michigan missed on Rivals.com No. 1 overall prospect Da'Shawn Hand in the 2014 class, his close friend from the 2015 class, Tim Settle of Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson may be just as big a recruit. Standing 6-2 and 307 pounds, Settle has earned an early ranking as the No. 52 player in the nation, and uses his combination of size and power to make an impact along the defensive front.
