PERSONAL Noah Jordan Furbush was born Oct. 7, 1995 … Sports a max bench press of 275 pounds and a max squat of 415 pounds … Has a personal-best 4.8 40-yard dash … Will be the second player from Kenton High School to wear the winged helmet, joining lineman Tony Osbun (1980-81). STATISTICS Career Totals: Started at linebacker in his junior and senior seasons for the Cougars and spent time as a wide receiver in his sophomore campaign … Re- corded 239 career tackles, including 43 for loss, forced two fumbles and recov- ered three … Had six receptions for 102 yards during his brief time on offense. Senior Season: Started at linebacker for a Kenton team that went 13-1, win- ning the Western Buckeye Conference with a 9-0 record … The Wildcats lost 21-20 to Clinton-Massie in the Division IV state semifinals … Racked up 124 total tackles, including 30 for loss, caused a fumble and recovered three … Recorded 15 tackles, including three for loss, in the state semifinal defeat … Totaled 31 stops and eight tackles for loss in four playoff games during his senior season … Named the Division IV Defensive Player of the Year and first-team All-Ohio Division IV by the Associated Press … Chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year on the Lima News Dream Team and was voted the Defensive Lineman of the Year in the Western Buckeye Conference … Picked as a first-team defensive lineman on the JJHuddle All-Ohio (all divisions) squad. Junior Season: Started at linebacker for a Kenton team that went 6-4, failing to qualify for the state playoffs … Notched 115 tackles, including 13 behind the line of scrimmage, while forcing a fumble … Posted a career-high 19 tackles in a 46-42 win over Celina in Oct. 2012 … Named first-team All-Western Buckeye League defense. Sophomore Season: Played wide receiver for a Cougars team that went 14-1, losing only in the Ohio IV finals to Norwayne, 48-42 … Made six grabs for 102 yards (17.0 yards per catch) and a touchdown on the season. ALL-STAR GAMES AND CAMPS Slated to participate in the North-South Classic (in-state Ohio all-star game) April 26, playing for the Division IV-V-VII South team … Also expected to play in the Border Classic between Michigan and Ohio athletes June 14 … Attended Ohio State summer football camp in 2013.
