Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep offen- sive lineman Jon Runyan Jr. wasn't far behind David in making his commit- ment. The 6-4, 250-pounder earned his Michigan offer during a strong per- formance at the 2013 U-M summer camp, and committed almost imme- diately upon returning home to south- ern New Jersey. The son of the former Michigan All-American by the same name is a three-star prospect ac- cording to Rivals.com. Michigan then picked up two members of the class that have since re-opened their recruit- ments. Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake wide receiver George Camp- bell was first to com- mit (and then decom- mit), picking Michigan during the Barbecue at The Big House recruit- ing event in July, then opening things back up in December. The 6-4, 190-pounder caught 31 passes for 769 yards (24.8 yards per catch) and seven touchdowns in between. Campbell is still highly interested in Michigan, but would prefer to take his time with the recruiting process instead of closing the door to other suitors before he even completes his junior year of high school. He is listed as a five-star talent and the No. 7 over- all player in the country by Rivals.com. U-M's other decommitment was Berea (Ky.) Madison Southern running back Damien Harris. Like Campbell, he's a five-star prospect, coming in at No. 5 overall nationally. The 5-11, 210-pounder rushed for 2,621 yards and 42 touchdowns on 220 carries (11.9 yards per rush), and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Ken- tucky. He decommitted in January. "Michigan is still his top school, but he wants to make sure," Madison Southern head coach Jon Clark said. "He's open to looking." U-M's next two com- mitments chronologi- cally have stayed strong with the Wolverines. As was the case with Da- vid and Runyan, they also came within one day of each other. On Aug. 23, Lake- wood (Ohio) St. Ed- ward defensive back S h a u n C r a w f o r d pledged to his child- hood favorite in a cer- emony at his school. The 5-9, 165-pounder overcomes his lack of size with explosive ath- leticism and a hitter 's mentality, allowing him to come in as the No. 96 player in the country, a solid four-star. He contributed at safety, kick return, and even running back for St. Edward during his junior year, averaging nine tackles and 120 rushing yards per game. He was named Special Mention Division 1 All-Ohio by the Associated Press. Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne safety Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep three- star offensive lineman Jon Runyan Jr., the son of the former Michigan All-American by the same name, is one of four class of 2015 prospects already committed to U-M.
