NCAAS: MEN'S SWIMMING and my parents in the stands, that's what was special. "My mentality going into this meet was so different than any before, just because of how incredibly sentimen- tal it is to do your last college meet. Maybe I'm going to be lucky enough to continue swimming beyond this, but it's never going to be the same, and it will never compare to the years I spent swimming for Michigan." Jaeger also earned All-America honors with a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (4:12.67) and a fourth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:16.37). Jaeger finished his Michigan career with 10 All-America honors, nine Big Ten individual titles and two Big Ten Swimmer of the Year awards, not to mention his three individual national championships and the 2013 team title. Sophomore Dylan Bosch joined Jae- ger on the podium, winning the 200- yard butterfly in record-breaking fash- ion. Bosch's time of 1:39.33 set NCAA, U.S. Open and Michigan records in the event. He shaved almost two whole seconds off his NCAA performance the previous year, when he finished third in the event (1:41.37). "I am so happy. I could honestly cry right now," Bosch said. "I'm holding it back. This is such a great feeling. It's a really fast meet. It's probably one of the fastest meets in the world. So, to be on the top of that podium is an awe- some feeling and it's a testament to how great the guys are at Michigan and how well we all train. I couldn't have done it without them. "We didn't win this year, but it's Michi- gan and we fought hard all weekend. It's a great place to be. I'm so happy to be a part of this team." Bosch also took sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:42.05) and sev- enth in the 400-yard individual medley (3:41.65), earning All-America distinc- tion in those races. Including Jaeger and Bosch's six combined All-America honors, the Wolverines totaled 26 All-America distinctions among 12 swimmers this year: senior Kyle Whitaker (200-yard individual medley, 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard butterfly and 200- yard freestyle relay); junior Richard Funk (100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke and 400-yard medley relay); junior Bruno Ortiz (100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay); sopho- more Peter Brumm (200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay); sophomore Anders Nielsen (500-yard freestyle and 800-yard freestyle re- lay); senior Mike Wynalda (200-yard freestyle and 800-yard freestyle relay); freshman Jason Chen (200-yard free- style relay); junior Justin Glanda (800- yard freestyle relay); freshman Vinny Tafuto (200-yard freestyle relay); and senior John Wojciechowski (400-yard medley relay). — Andy Reid
