  INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS MAIZE AND BLUE NOTEBOOK DIRECTORS' CUP Aided by top-five team finishes in men's basketball (fifth), men's swimming and diving (fourth), and men's gymnastics (first), Michigan jumped from 13th to fifth place in the April 17 Directors' Cup standings. Women's gymnastics will be added to the tally April 24 as the entirety of the winter sports come to an end. SLIPPERY ROCK TICKETS Michigan's long-standing tradition of announcing Slippery Rock football game updates at The Big House will take on added meaning this fall when Michigan Stadium plays host to Slippery Rock and Mercyhurst Oct. 18 (during a U-M bye week). Tickets for the matchup are now on sale and can be found at MGoBlue.com/tickets. A CHANCE TO SHINE Former Michigan soccer player Holly Hein (2009-13) became the third Wolver- ine to earn a roster spot in the two-year old National Women's Soccer League when she inked a deal with the Houston Dash April 11. Hein joins former team- mates Haley Kopmeyer (2009-12) and Nkem Ezurike (2010-13), who play for Seattle and Boston, respectively. The league is composed of nine teams playing games from April thru mid-August. Hein has started each of Houston's first two games through April 20. STEPPING ASIDE Men's and women's diving coach KZ Li announced his resignation April 18 fol- lowing his fourth season with the Wolverines. Michigan did not have an NCAA All-American or a Big Ten champion during Li's career. the application and was accepted. "Getting into that school really el- evated my sense of what I could do," Wojciechowski said. "I have really grown since matriculating into the business school." Last summer, Wojciechowski traveled to New York to get a chance to see his dream in action, looking behind the scenes on Wall Street. He got to shadow fixed-income analysts at Morgan Stan- ley, and he walked away from the expe- rience thinking it was a perfect fit. After several rounds of interviews — which Michigan head coach Mike Bottom was more than happy to work around — Wojciechowski landed a summer internship as a fixed-income analyst at Morgan Stanley. He is hop- ing that, with enough hard work and dedication, it will lead to a full-time job. — Andy Reid
