INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS MICHIGAN'S TOP OLYMPIC SPORTS PERFORMERS Baseball sophomore Jacob Cronenworth: An outfielder and pitcher, the St. Clair, Mich., native was hitting. 291 with two home runs and seven RBI in 15 Big Ten conference contests through April 21, while shutting the door on three of Michigan's eight league wins as the Wolverines' closer. In that role overall this sea- son, Cronenworth has recorded eight saves and a 2-2 mark with a 1.96 ERA in 12 appearances. With 15 regular-season contests remaining this year, he needed two more saves to tie the U-M single-season record. Women's tennis senior Brooke Bolender: The Delray Beach, Fla., native is only the second Wolverine in school history to win a Big Ten title in each of her four seasons, and she was a big part of Michigan's success this year, going 9-2 in league matches through April 21. With her singles victory April 20 over Purdue's Krisztina Kapitany, Bolender earned the 110th win of her career, which ranks second all time and just one shy of Denise Muresan's 111 from 2008-11. Men's golf sophomore Brett McIntosh: Carding a 4-under-par 209 at the NYX Hoosier Invitational April 12-13, the London, Ont., native enjoyed the best weekend of his career, taking medalist honors as the top overall performer. McIntosh earned his fourth top-five individual finish in two seasons with a dramatic final- round, 6-under-par 65 to score a two-shot victory over Indiana's David Mills. Men's lacrosse freshman Ian King: The rookie from Cincinnati established a single-season program record for goals with 27 af- ter netting two markers in a 13-7 loss to No. 13 Yale April 19. King eclipsed Trevor Yealy's record of 26, achieved in 2012. The fresh- man ranks fourth in the ECAC with his 27 markers. Michigan was slated to finish its regular season April 26 versus Robert Morris. Water polo senior Kelsey Nolan: With the CWPA Champion- ship April 25-27 and a potential berth in the NCAA Champion- ships, the San Jose, Calif., native is closing in on some milestones as the end of her career nears. With 221 career points, the senior needs three more to rank 10th all time at Michigan while she needs five assists to break into the top 10. Nolan has scored 129 goals in her tenure with 92 helpers, including career highs in goals (42) and points (60) this year.
