a scholarship to three 2015 players and one 2016 prospect. The Irish offered Haverford (Pa.) High School three-star guard Levan Alston after assistant coach Martin Ingelsby conducted an in-home visit during the final week of April. He is someone to keep an eye on because the Irish coaching staff thinks he resem- bles senior guard Jerian Grant with his offensive skills. The 6-4, 165-pounder is listed as the No. 168 overall player in the class of 2015, the No. 47 point guard nationally and the No. 6 player in Pennsylvania by 247Sports. Cornelius (N.C.) William Amos Hough forward Luke Maye received an offer from the Irish after recently popping up on Notre Dame's radar. He is a three-star prospect, the No. 191 overall player in the 2015 class, the No. 43 power forward in the land and the No. 3 player from North Carolina according to 247Sports. Maye, whom Brey watched at Nike's EYBL camp in Sacramento at the end of April, also has offers from Charlotte, College of Charleston, Davidson and Gonzaga. The Irish also extended an offer to Lancaster (N.Y.) Wings Academy cen- ter Jessie Govan. The 6-10, 250-pound 2015 big man is rated as a five-star recruit by 247Sports and is listed as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. Govan is ranked the No. 14 overall player in the country, the No. 4 cen- ter nationally and the No. 3 player in New York by 247Sports. He has offers from numerous powerhouses, including Louisville and Arizona, but reigning national champ Connecticut and Georgetown are viewed as the favorites. Notre Dame also offered 2016 center Caleb Swanigan at the beginning of May. The Fort Wayne (Ind.) Home- stead product is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and a five-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite. 247Sports rates the 6-8, 265-pounder as the No. 25 overall player in the country, the No. 3 center in the land and the No. 1 player in Indiana. He has offers from a number of schools, including Michigan State, Indiana, Pitt, Illinois and Tennessee. ✦ Recruit Q&A: 2015 Small Forward Matt Ryan Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey and assistant coach Martin Ingelsby traveled to Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., for an in-home visit with four-star small forward Matt Ryan April 21. Ryan is the staff's top recruiting target in the 2015 class and has been for some time. He was on campus for the Sept. 21 football game versus Michigan State and received an offer shortly after his visit. His junior season was cut short by a torn labrum in his hip, but his recovery is ahead of schedule. He has set plans to visit Notre Dame again the weekend of the Sept. 6 night football game against Michigan. Ryan is rated the No. 98 overall player in the country, the No. 18 small forward in the land and the No. 5 player in New York by 247Sports. He recently discussed his recruitment with Blue & Gold Illustrated. Blue & Gold Illustrated: How did the in-home visit go with Coach Brey and Coach Ingelsby?
