succeed in second down and third
down pass rushes, and get in the mis-
matches. I believe I can thrive on pres-
sure. That's what I bring to the table."
Dew-Treadway plans to enroll early
for the 2015 spring semester. In order
to graduate in December, he removed
physical education and lunch from his
daily schedule. As of now, Notre Dame
is scheduled to welcome three early en-
rollees to the program in 2015: Dew-
Treadway, Pocatello, Idaho, center Tris-
ten Hoge and Shreveport, La., offensive
tackle Jerry Tillery.
"To get that playbook and most im-
portantly to become acclimated to liv-
ing on my own and the speed of the
game are real important to me," he said.
"I need to adjust and see how it feels."
Dew-Treadway joins New Lenox,
Ill., four-star receiver Miles Boykin and
Cary, Ill., three-star offensive lineman
Trevor Ruhland as Notre Dame's com-
mitments from Illinois. With the class
already at 17 prospects and without
another top target from the state, the
defensive end said the trio uses Twit-
ter to contact out-of-state recruits with
potential interest.
He said he looks forward to joining
the program and playing for Kelly, Van-
Gorder and defensive line coach Mike
Elston in South Bend.
"Those three can develop me in ways
that I'm not sure I would be able to do
under other coaches across the coun-
try," Dew-Treadway said. "I think that
I'll become a great player under them,
and I think that we can win a champi-
onship at Notre Dame. It's hard to ex-
plain, but I just think there's something
special about to happen there." ✦
