BY TOM LOY Warrington (Pa.) Central Bucks South running back Josh Adams took his first trip to Notre Dame June 20, and it didn't take long for him to find a home in South Bend. The 6-2, 210-pounder committed to Notre Dame on June 30 over offers from Boston College, Penn State, Pitts- burgh, Stanford and others. "I can't tell you how amazing this feels," Adams said about his pledge to the Irish. "Notre Dame is definitely the place for me. I loved it so much when I was up there for the Irish Inva- sion [camp]. It turned out to be way better than I could have imagined it would be. "I went home and thought about the big picture and what Notre Dame could do for me. I just kept thinking about how going there could set me up for life. I could go there and get a great education, play the best football in the country and then be set up for life after football. It's just the best of both worlds. My family and I just de- cided that there isn't a better place to be for school." Adams has had two primary recruit- ers throughout the process — running backs coach Tony Alford and offensive line coach Harry Hiestand. Adams made sure to call the two Irish assis- tants and share the news right after notifying head coach Brian Kelly. "Coach Alford was really excited for me," Adams said. "I could tell that he really wanted me on board, and he just kept telling me that he was proud of me for making a grown man decision and the right decision. "Coach Hiestand was the same way, but he's just more low key. I could tell that he was excited for me.
