"Other schools looked at me to play linebacker or elsewhere, but not Notre Dame. My dream is to play running back at the next level and Notre Dame made that a reality. "I feel really good right now. I got cleared a month or two ago, and I'm just so ready to get back on the field and play my senior season. I have so much adrenaline, and I'm ready to get to work. "There's been so much talk about me not being ready to play again and that I won't return to form, but that's not the case. I'm going to work and prove a lot of people wrong this year. I'm just ready to prove it on the field." Adams is the first running back pledge for Notre Dame in the 2015 class, and the Irish hope to bring in another ball carrier along with him. "Coach Alford told me from day one that they are taking two running backs this class," Adams said. "That meant a lot. He hasn't tried to hide it or lie about that. I'm good with that. You have to compete no matter where you end up. I'm a hard worker, and I'll go head to head against anybody. "They didn't take anyone last year, so I'll just come in and compete with the guys there and then compete with whoever else they take this class.
