UNDER THE DOME REPORT: NOTRE DAME-BYU SERIES IN DOUBT The future of the Notre Dame-BYU series is in limbo, according to Deseret News reporter Jeff Call. In 2010, the Fighting Irish and Cougars signed a six- game agreement to play in two three-game clusters — two at Notre Dame and one in Provo, Utah. Notre Dame hosted BYU in 2012 and 2013, hard-fought 17-14 and 23-13 victories, respectively. However, Notre Dame's 2012 agreement with the Atlantic Coast Conference as a partial football mem - ber (the Irish will play five games against ACC schools each season) has thrown a proverbial wrench into pre- existing scheduling agree- ments. Notre Dame's series' with longtime Big Ten rivals Purdue, Michigan State and Michigan already have been halted to a degree (the Irish will play no Big Ten teams in 2015). BYU athletics director Tom Holmoe told Call there cur - rently is no scheduled date for Notre Dame to make the return trip to Provo to com- plete the first three-game cluster. Nothing has been set for any of the three games in the second cluster. ND ingenuity at work creating jobs in our South Bend community ... South Bend Woodworks founded in 2013 by Mike Lindburg '71.
