FOOTBALL RECRUITING and set him up for life beyond just foot- ball are major selling points to the elder Coney. It also doesn't hurt that Tevon admits that Alford, his primary recruiter, is the coach with whom he has the best rela- tionship in the entire recruiting process. Although the talented recruit wants to take visits to Florida, Miami and Ohio State later in the fall, there is a chance Coney shuts down his recruitment after this visit to South Bend. Per 247Sports, Coney is the No. 11 inside linebacker in the nation and the No. 38 prospect in Florida. Notre Dame doesn't typically go into Louisiana and pull one of the better players from the state, but that could be the case with New Orleans John Curtis three-star outside linebacker Bo Wal- lace. There is a great deal of mutual interest between the 6-4, 215-pound re- cruit and the Fighting Irish. Wallace first visited South Bend June 4, and spent two full days on cam- pus meeting with the coaching staff, talking with academic advisors, learn- ing from current Notre Dame student- athletes and continuing to build a strong relationship with his primary recruiter, defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks. Wallace, who has Oklahoma, Texas and UCLA all very much in the mix as well, is comfortable leaving home to attend college, but it also doesn't hurt Notre Dame's chances that he has close family only an hour and a half away in Illinois. Per 247Sports, Wallace is the No. 29 outside linebacker nationally and the No. 18 overall player in Louisiana. ✦ Bo Wallace of New Orleans John Curtis — 247Sports' No. 29 outside linebacker in the country and No. 18 prospect in Louisiana — will make his second visit to South Bend in three months on Sept. 6.
