NOTES • Michigan head coach John Beilein officially announced the addition of 6‑8 guard Duncan Robinson to the program Sept. 3. The former New Castle (N.H.) Philips Exeter Academy standout will sit out the 2014‑15 season due to NCAA transfer rules, and comes to Ann Arbor after playing one season at Williams Col‑ lege in Williamstown, Mass. Robinson averaged 17.1 points, scoring 548 total points to become the first Williams freshman to ever score 500‑plus points in a season. "We feel very fortunate to add Duncan to our program at this time," Beilein said. "We love his ability to play multiple positions while also stretching de‑ fenses with his three‑point shooting." • Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson five‑star point guard Jalen Brunson (6‑1, Rivals. com's No. 15 senior) pledged to Villanova over Illinois. Michigan had not been heavily pursuing him for a while. Cleveland Shaker Heights senior forward Esa Ahmad (6‑7, No. 69), a former target, committed to West Virginia, and Saginaw Arthur Hill's Eric Davis (6‑2, No. 52) planned to decide Sept. 16, likely between North Carolina State, Texas and UNLV. U‑M offered this summer, but cooled after taking Robinson.
