ing for Notre Dame and the
first big test of the 2014 sea-
son, someone asked head
coach Brady Hoke about the Irish
as an early-season measuring stick
for his team. Hoke conceded that it
always is.
"There are guys they recruited that
we recruited, and there are guys we
got that they recruited," he said. "I
think to some degree, the talent level
there is very similar. That, as much as
anything else, gives you a little bit of
an idea about where we stand."
