BASKETBALL RECRUITING

Jon Teske (6‑11, 215) became the
first member of Michigan's 2016 re‑
cruiting class when he pledged to the
Wolverines over Ohio State in early
August. Then, he was an unranked
big man with great potential. Now,
he's Rivals.com's No. 97 prospect
nationally and a four‑star recruit,
having enjoyed a very good summer
with his Team Work AAU squad and
with his Medina team.
Teske shined at the U‑M team
camp, showing an array of post
moves, the ability to block shots (nine
in one game alone) and even three‑
point range on his smooth jumper.

offense last year, but the 12‑point,
nine‑rebound per game sophomore
has a chance to blossom as a junior,
Mentor, Ohio, coach and Medina ri‑
val Bob Krizancic said.
Krizancic and Mentor won a state
championship last year in Ohio and
have faced Medina regularly through
the years. He sees a potential great
one in the lanky junior.
"As a sophomore, he was very
long. In a half‑court game he does a
lot of nice things around the hoop,"
Krizancic said. "When we played
him, he shot the ball outside a little
bit. Last year he didn't score that
much against us, but I assume this
year he'll be a much more focal point
